For great MIDI tracking, it is very important to clean the electrical contact between the string and nut as follows. Once every 6 months, or if you require regular calibration after power up: 1.

    Fast and Synthesizer sounds should be triggered instantly after playing a note on your MIDI accurate Pro guitar. If you experience any noticeable latency, wrong or delayed notes, follow these steps until the problem is resolved. Performance Ensure the string-to-fret electrical contacts are clean Bend a problematic note up and down a few times to clean the individual contact between the string and the fret.

    Humidity Maintaining your guitar's humidity level is essential to ensure its proper performance, playability and functionality. We recommend an ideal temperature of 19-25 °C (66-77 °F) with a humidity of 40-50%. Our guitars are built in a carefully controlled environment that varies between 40% and 50% relative humidity at approximately 20 °C.

    Magnetic Magnetic pickups refers to the pickups found in a regular electric guitar. Pickups Your MIDI Pro 2 is equipped with two professional coil splitting humbuckers and a 5-way selector switch giving a dynamic range of tones to fit all music genres. The wiring configuration is designed for a low noise and buzz-free output, particularly in positions 1, 3 and 5.

    Notes for MIDI Musicians Playing Style The hardware and software of the MIDI Pro is designed specifically for fingerpicking. For the most accurate MIDI tracking we recommend fingerpicking. Playing the MIDI Pro with a plectrum will work perfectly with the pick-ups but it is not optimised for MIDI functionality. Synthesizer Types A MIDI musician must have a good understanding of synthesizers.

    Volume Knob The volume knob controls the synthesizer volume by default but can also control any other synthesizer parameter. By default, the volume knob is set to CC7 which controls MIDI volume. You may send up to 3 simultaneous messages to control any synthesizer parameters such as cutoff frequency, resonance, modulation etc.

    String Bend The MIDI Pro system precisely measures each string tension delivering an accurate string bending experience. This lets your synthesizer mirror every subtle gesture you make on your strings. Warm-Up The Pitch Bend system works immediately after power up, however, accuracy increases after the internal guitar circuitry warms up. For optimal Pitch Bend performance, power up your instrument 5 to 10 minuets before use.

    XY Pad The XY Pad brings dynamic triggering of synthesizer notes, control of effects parameters, the worlds first on board guitar arpeggiator and a whole new way to create music. XY Triggering This allows triggering of fretted notes using the XY Pad.     When a guitar changes climate, it may effect the moisture contentment of the woods which Truss Rod can cause a slight movement of the neck.   • Page 50 String Sensitivity Adjusting String Sensitivity allows you optimise how easily each string triggers MIDI notes. This is especially important when changing the tuning of a string. Pick sensitivity is automatically set during piezo bridge calibration. Adjustment of this setting should not be required unless changing the tuning of a string. Example: De-tuning the lowest string from a E to a D means you may need to decrease the sensitivity of that string to prevent multiple triggering.
